EU legislation - Radio Equipment Directive
Products with radio components (radio equipment) are regulated by the Radio Equipment Directive, which is an EU-mandated directive. The directive is referred to as the RED Directive or RED.
Swedish legislation implementing the Radio Equipment Directive
In Sweden, the Radio Equipment Act and our regulations have implemented the directive. All documents are in swedish only.

Internet-connected radio equipment, radio equipment for childcare, and body-worn radio equipment: cybersecurity requirements are regulated in EU Regulation 2022/30. These requirements apply from August 1, 2025.

Requirements for common chargers for certain categories of radio equipment such as mobile phones, tablets, headphones, computers, etc. These requirements apply from December 28, 2024 (for computers from April 28, 2026) and are implemented through our regulations on radio equipment (see the regulations under Swedish legislation above).
