Processing of personal data
The following provides information about how PTS processes personal data collected through our website at www.pts.se. Personal data includes all types of information which directly or indirectly can be associated with a living natural person. Examples of personal data include names, personal identity numbers, telephone numbers, postal addresses and e-mail addresses.

Controller of personal data
PTS is the controller of personal data for the processing of personal data on the website www.pts.se.
Information submitted and public access
PTS is a government agency. As a public authority, PTS is encompassed by the right of public access to official information. This means that all documents, including personal data, submitted to PTS become public documents which may be provided to any party requesting them. In some cases, however, information may be deemed to be confidential and is consequently not provided to third parties.

PTS may transfer personal information submitted via the website if the Agency is the wrong authority to receive such information, which means that it should be transferred to the correct body. In addition to this, information related to marine radio licences is provided to the Swedish Maritime Administration on a regular basis.
Transfers of personal data
Your personal data may also be provided to any party needing the information as a consequence of electronic document processing based on the fulfilment of an agreement with you, a legal obligation, a task of public interest or a task in connection with an exercise by a public authority where information processing is necessary.
Purposes when processing personal data
PTS processes personal data submitted to the website in the following cases:
- orders for information material
- subscription by e-mail
- reports of missing letters
- new licence applications for VHF transmitters on board leisure craft
IP numbers
PTS saves visitors’ IP numbers. These are used for visit statistics for the website and are also saved for security reasons.
