Licences in the 800 MHz-band
PTS will assign licenses in the frequency band 790-862 MHz. The auction is planned to start on 28 February and those interested must apply no later than 31 January 2011. The frequencies are, among other things, considered to be interesting for mobile telephony and broadband wireless access.

PTS has followed up the license conditions in the 800 MHz band and can not find any interference on terrestrial television. Supervision continues as the rollout in the 800 MHz band continues.

The auction has been concluded. Three bidders won licenses for the total amount of SEK 2,054,000,000 (approximately EUR 233 million).

SEK 300 million comprise bids for coverage and Net4Mobility, that has won the frequency block FDD6, shall use this sum to cover those permanent homes and fixed places of business that lack broadband.
Com Hem AB and Netett Sverige AB also participated in the auction but did not win any licenses.
